Idiom Technologies

Assisted Idiom Technologies in their transition from a shrinked wrapped enterprise product to a full scale hosted On-Demand SaaS service.

Built the On-Demand SaaS offering from the ground up consisting of 30+ HP servers providing 99.9% uptime, daily backups, level three disaster recovery, end-to-end documentation, service monitoring and multi-metric reporting.

Idiom Technologies was subsequently purchased by SDL International in February 2008.

Agencourt Bioscience

Designed and implemented an automated order processing & lifecycle management system for the submission and delivery of biological samples for gene sequencing.

Helped the client perform a full security review, implement a disaster recovery plan and assisted in developing general IT procedures and best practices.

Built a distributed task queue in Perl with an Oracle backend that spread computational workloads across arbitrary hosts in parallel. The project massively increased computing power versus previously performing all computations on a single host syncronously.

Agencourt was subsequently purchased by Beckman Coulter, Inc.

Vericept Corporation

Extended Vericept's atomic TCP stream analysis to associate related streams. This gave the product the ability to reconstruct sessions, decrease the amount of raw data to be analyzed and laid the groundwork for intelligent network usage profiles.

Senior Filesystems Engineer

Designed and developed the Irix & Linux client side file systems for Celerra Highroad; a multi-path distributed NAS file system.

Reverse-engineered (via MIPS disassembly) the Irix Kernel NFS interface to install the Highroad file system client.

Software Engineer
